Unable to make changes to an 85mb Word Doc and save it
I have an 85mb Word 1879 page file which saved ok initially but when I try to make any changes to it and resave it, it cuts off at 1828 pages and will not save the remaining pages. So I cannot save the entire completed edited file. Is there a page limit restriction or file size restriction that I'm not aware of or I can overcome?

Copy the last hundred pages or so into a separate file and save that as a backup.
There is not a page-number limit in Word but there is a fairly large size limit for the amount of text. You should be nowhere near that limit, though. I've had much larger documents.
This might have to do with your use of direct formatting in your document rather than style-based formatting.
