Turn off all autocorrect, spacing suggestions, etc. - Word for Mac
(Word for Mac) Is there a way to turn off all autocorrect, auto punctuation, double blue lines that suggest spacing, etc.? Basically, for Word to stop trying to help me and just let me drive? To pull the plug on auto correct and let me do what I want to do? I'm working on bass guitar tablature, which is kind of like drawing with letters and numbers, so I'm putting letters, numbers, and punctuation in places that don't correspond to normal grammar rules. Every single time auto correct tries to help me (which is about 6 times per minute), I have to fix what it did (I often have to do this multiple times per instance because auto correct will re-correct what I fixed), which is aggravating and time consuming, and all the double lines telling me to fix spacing are driving me nuts.
I want to be in charge. I don't want auto correct to be in charge.

You can prevent Word from marking (potential) spelling and grammar errors as you type. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/check-grammar-spelling-and-more-in-word-0f43bf32-ccde-40c5-b16a-c6a282c0d251#id0ebbf=macos .
