Yes, I use the Save As dialog box in Word, and choose PDF for file type, but the problem occurs.
Since I use Windows 7, it is my office version 2002.12527.21236
I think Microsoft should release a newer version for Windows 7 and fix this bug.
Do you see this happening with a particular document or with any document which has a background color?
