Problem with dots in Word

First, click in an existing bullet paragraph and check whether Home > Bullets is active. If it isn’t, the dot may just be a typed character. Select the relevant paragraphs and apply Home > Bullets to create a proper list.
Then place the cursor at the end of a bullet that contains text and press Enter once. Word should create the next bullet. Pressing Enter on an empty bullet ends the list; Tab changes the indentation rather than adding another item.
If you’re starting a separate section after a heading or blank paragraph, click Home > Bullets again to start a new list there.
