Large text which repeats more than 500 times in a document - how can I delete it?

Use a copy of your document.

1. Select the first instance of the part you want to delete.
2. Press Ctrl+H to call up the replace dialog
3. Leave the Replace With box empty
4. Click on the Replace All button.

Word will report how many instances it found (and deleted). If all instances were duplicates, it should work.
