How to insert a master foot note in many other word documents
Hi there,
I can't find the proper information on how to create a separate footnote MS document and link it into other of my MS document.
I need to have a sord of template that I could modify at one place and then will be updated in all other MS documents that I had insert it.
** I've tried to use : insert -- text tab -- object -- text to file. And then "Insert as a link" the footer MS file but there is nothing that has been imported... I don't get it.
thanks,

Create and save your footer as AutoText or another Building Block saved in a Global Template. Then use an AutoText Field to insert it in your documents and other templates. Make changes in the base AutoText entry to change in all documents using it.
Have an AutoOpen/AutoNew macro that updates AutoText Fields in your templates.

Footer I mean.
I manage to make this work by using : insert -- object -- text from file -- insert as a link.
But still I found it really buggy... If I make changes to the orginal separte footer file, and them update it (F9) in the document where I insert it, it often duplicate it, or change its position ... Don't know if anyone have experience with this.
Thanks

Footnote or footer?
Footnotes are linked to text in the document, they are not free-floating pieces of information.
