Figures Changed to White Rectangles
I opened my PC to a working Word document with numbered figures to find all of the screenshots and drawings had become blank framed boxes. I read herein that someone seemed to have a similar issue us...
Steve_Strote Sounds like you may have the "Show picture placeholders" box checked. I assume that on a Mac, it is somewhere under Preferences. On a Windows computer, it is under File>Options>Advanced>Show document content.

Unchecked the box. Document good as new. How and why did I ever...I don't recall ever checking that. So grateful for the fix.
