Auto background colour filling cells in Word table depending on call value

Hi,

I have a word table with 820 rows of data. I have to colour code one column depending on its value (A,B,C,U) as seen in the screen shot below. This was done manually, but to save me doing this for another 800+ rows, is there a way of automating this process in Word please?

Many thanks

Phil

This is far, far, far, easier to do in Excel. How about copying it to Excel and using conditional formatting there?

In Word you do not have conditional formatting but rather conditional content where Word tests something and then depending on what is found in the test, displays content, which can be formatted.
