anupbadri If you go to services and then search for the killer services and 'kill' them then your problems are over.

thanks man! i had this issue also in Windows 10. When I connect by WiFi everything works perfect (DL/UP: 1000 mb/s), but when connect by the wire i had upload max 2 mb/s. After deleting killer apps it starts working correctly. After update to Windows 11 its happened again xD but your solution is perfect! Thank You!

This works like a champ, we should disable that server forever. It take out 150mb download speed from my 200mb plan

Dell Optimize contain ExpressConnect, the same Killer Service from first posts (Express connect is the Rivet networks Killer networking smartbyte optimizer). Stop and Disable ExpressConnect services and remove Expressconnect from the App and the network will work fine again.

I experienced same issue as you mentioned.... just the funny was that i have Windows 11 on a powerlaptop (i.e. gamerlaptop) and when i was on another location i did not have this problem, just when i was at home!

So the issue in my case HAD to be external and then i discovered i have (of course) an onboard network adapter which is a Killer wired and wireless network adapter, but i also have a docking station with 2 UHD adapters AND an extra network adapter!

I measured in internetspeed of 860MBps (loaded with online gaming children) so on a 1Gb not a bad performance at all
I have that external adapter connected to a separate network segment of which consist of NAS and SAS devices.... when i pulled one of the 2 connections.... problem was solved!

Please @Microsoft:  Investigate why 2 network adapters together in one device are slowing down performance incredably much! Either of them separately are working perfect!

Did actually work! Tried different methods (thought the problem was in network switch) but actually it's 11's problem. So disabling all the network adapters (VPNs, NAS etc) in windows worked.

Oh well... It comes back, even after disabling all the networks. For some reason the cap is moving between 40mb on upload while giving unlimited speed to download. And it switches back and forth..

anupbadri I had this issue also.  Disabling IPv6 on my NIC fixed the slow speeds immediately.  It was specific to facebook so far from web pages I've been visiting.

I disabled IPv6 and it did help a bit but it is still a bit slower than Windows 10.
  • Hello,

KapilArya  this should matter if its IPV4 or IPV6 its a program flaw that Microsoft need to address and not just blame it on the handwear.... It worked in Windows10 so compare and contrast to see what was done and apply it to Windows 11 (not you Kapil, but MS)

I know this wasn't directed at me specifically but I did reinstall my network adapter driver and tried running the troubleshooter and have had no luck. Do you have any other suggestions?

      Thanks, Kevin K

Windows team might not share direct response, but they will review all feedbacks.
Meanwhile, make sure report this issue to your hardware vendor.

I have tried numerous workarounds to solve this issue. I experienced it as well after installing Windows 11.  The solution I found for my computer was in the properties for my network card. Control Panel>Network and Sharing>left click on Internet>Properties>Configure(Network Card ie: Realtek RTL8822CE>Advanced tab. In my advance tab under Property listed was 802.11d. Under that was 802.11n channel width for 2.4GHz and 802.11n channel width for 5.2GHz. I disabled the 802.11d and turned the other 2 to Auto. So far I have haven't had any further instances of slow internet. Good luck, I hope this helps.
