Scrolling in Office 365 and File Explorer broken (touchpad) in KB5062669, 26120.5722

Insider update KB5062669, 26120.5722

Since installing this update yesterday touchpad scrolling is not working in all of my MS Office 365 programmes or in File Explorer.  I am using an Asus Viviobook 15 with Intel i7 cpu.

I have done a system restore to see if that resolves the problem. I does. On re-installing the KB5062669, 26120.5722 update after carrying oput the system restore, touchpad scrolling is no longer working again.  It does work fine in programmes such as Firefox (latest beta build) and most apps from the Windows Store.

Is this an known issue?

Thanks for the replies and advice.

Earlier today I uninstalled the KB5062669 (build 26120.5722) update.  I then used Driver Booster to update the touchpad driver to the latest version.  After updatin the touchpad drivers, I reinstalled the KB5062669 (build 26120.5722) update.  This has solved scrolling problem in Outlook 365 anf File Explorer on the 2 laptops that were effected, an Asus Vivobook 15 OLED (Intel i7) and an Asus Vivobook Go OLED (Ryzen 7).

Many thanks for the replies and advice.  I rolled back the latset WIP cumulative update and updated the touchpad drivers.  After updating the drivers using Driver Booster I reinstalled the WIP update, scrolling is working again.  I had this issue with 2 Asus laptops, an Asus Vivobook 15 (Intel i7) and and with an Asus Viviobook Go (Ryzen 7).  Scrolling in Office 365 and File Explorer is now working properly on both laptops.

It appears you're experiencing a specific issue with touchpad scrolling in Office 365 and File Explorer after installing the Windows update KB5062669 (build 26120.5722), which is affecting your Asus VivoBook 15. This kind of problem can sometimes be associated with driver conflicts, compatibility issues, or bugs introduced in recent updates.

Uninstall the problematic update KB5036980, pause updates for 7 days, and roll back the touchpad driver to the 2023 version.
