How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

Microsoft do not seem to understand that people work primarily on documents, and that the programs used to do that work are secondary. If I am creating a report it might be in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or something else, and that is largely irrelevant - grouping by program is a value-less distraction and cuts productivity.
Let me see what I am working on, not just the tools I am using to do that work.
In the past, MS based decisions on analytic data from users (putting the "undo" shortcut in the Word toolbar, etc.), but this was only from users NOT smart enough to realise that this sort of snooping was an invasion of privacy and had not disabled it.
In other words, their diagnostic analysis was based on bottom end users ONLY and excluded almost all corporate and power-users. I suspect they have done the same here.

- DRBrass ContributorThis is the first thing I look for after every update and I'm always disappointed that it's not there. It was the first thing I looked for when I installed Win 11 initially. I spend at least an hour after installing looking for a temporary fix, something I could manually change in the registry to no avail. I probably spend at least a half hour each month looking for some new information but only finding the same feedback hub threads with nothing new from Microsoft.
It sounds like after months of complaining and begging Microsoft to bring this back, some folks have found a tool that kinda does the job, but that's not the point here. This was an important feature that many have complained about loosing and not once have I seen a response from Microsoft addressing the issue. Function over form. Windows customers aren't windows customers because they can't afford Apple, they don't like Apple. Don't be Apple. - pppjpBrass Contributor

Can somebody like Google please develop an alternative OS compatible with older Windows?? I just can't stop crying each time since EOL of Windows 7 - everything is getting worse and worse in geometric proportion :'(
The great Microsoft slogan would be "f*** UX!"
- BlipperCopper ContributorBring this back, like really!
- fmasanaCopper ContributorMIcrofost, PLEASE bring this function back! Combining windows only delays and adds extra clicks to the operations.
