How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

- mattukCopper ContributorHow is this still not an option, i have just updated to win11 after putting it off, this DRASTICALLY effects my productivity as i need to switch rapidly and frequently between 5 or 6 instances of the same application, and the current combined layout is TERRIBLE.

I've mentioned this before. Going on past Microsoft behaviour, it's very probable that this feature will never get put into Windows 11. Windows 12 maybe, but we'll never see it officially implemented in 11 imo. In fact, if it does get put back in, I will join the Flat Earth Society of Scientologists. FESS.

That's 4 hours after the calculations, but I suspect after the 4 hours is up there will be another constraint.
Nice going Microsoft. Great use of units. Let's remember we like to post speeds in Furlongs/Fortnight. Geezzzzzzz...
Let's try again to post this.

huali1405 I agree with many below. Please bring back Never combine feature as soon as possible.
- Guru_YCopper ContributorPlease get this "Never combine" option in Windows 11.
Just because you are hiding, we are re-opening the same page sometime later, editing in new windows, and losing the old edits. This is a bad design. - GjuetariCopper ContributorIt's 2023 and we have the same problem. Who is this idioX who decides to remove ungrouping option from microsoft. I'm ready to bet that it's the same idioX who removed the start from windows 8. If you like apple so much, get out of here. Leave us who like microsoft in our work.

We need to remove auto combine!!!! This just adds extra steps to access apps, how is that efficient???
- Suren1580Copper ContributorPlease bring back

unbelievable this hasn't been fixed yet but apprently it is in the works: https://winaero.com/windows-11-may-soon-allow-ungrouping-taskbar-buttons/
- Todor665Brass ContributorAs a workaround I rolled back to Windows 10. If this is not fixed, I think the best solution is to migrate to Linux or worst case Mac.

Would StartAllBack be a good solution?
- Inu-YashaIron ContributorYes, it's a really good workaround. I hope ms comes to his senses.
