Does the screen look very bright at 100% brightness in Windows 11, but noticeably dimmer at 99%?
When adjusting the screen brightness, going from 99% to 100% suddenly makes the screen very bright; it feels like there’s a big jump between the two levels rather than a smooth transition. I’m wondering if this is a Windows 11 issue or if it’s caused by hardware or driver settings.

Many laptops and displays use discrete brightness steps rather than a smooth gradient. The difference between 99% and 100% can be more noticeable because the system might jump between two distinct brightness levels rather than smoothly transitioning.
