"your PC may have been exposed to a virus" unclosable screen
On my wife's laptop this screen keeps apprearing. It cannot be killed with alt F4 and it covers everything so we can't see task manager and we cannot even see the run box after pressing Windows key + r. Starting new desktops doesn't work because they all have this on them. The only way to stop it is to shut down the laptop.
We've run lots of antivirus scans and nothing shows up. Tried clearing all notifications from websites in edge and chrome but it's still happening.
So we're trying to find out a) how to close the window and b) where its coming from.

For anyone who is unable to open the run dialog or task manager because this popup just stays on top - restart your computer, right after you sign in before it’s done loading hit CTRL SHIFT ESC a few times. This will open task manager as soon as the desktop loads. Now you can search for the task PulseBrowser and hit the end task button a few times until they are all gone. If you are fast enough you can do all this before the popup opens and covers the screen.
Check your installed programs since in this case the computer had a few other sketchy browsers that were installed and remove those too.
Finally check chrome for the default home page being changed to a sketchy domain and revert that.
I tried to go fast and I ended up going to reset my computer. So if it pops up again I will do this!!
