- Jan 16, 2024Solved. OGG, WAV, and AIFF file metadata is not read. FLAC files with large embedded images end up breaking as well, I had to use metaflac to remove the padding and change the image to a smaller one.

Windows Media Player and File Explorer may not be set up to read metadata automatically. In Windows Media Player, you can go to "Options" -> "Library" -> "Retrieve additional information from the internet" and make sure "Retrieve additional information from the internet" and "Add local media files to the library when played" are checked. In File Explorer, you can right-click on a music file and select "Properties" -> "Details" and make sure the metadata is displayed.
