WIndows 11 WIFI Adapter has disappeared
Hello all,
Just joined today as I am having a nightmare. Any advice is at all appreciated.
Today my wireless adaptor completely disappeared.
I loaded it up and there is no option to connect to a wi-fi adapter.
I have:
Reset the machine.
Done a network reset.
Used troubleshooting.
Uninstalled the driver.
Reset my system BIOS to factory settings.
Completely re-installed windows.
Downloaded the Intel drivers onto a USB stick and re-installed them.
I have a Medion PP645-MD61361, it does not have an ethernet connection which makes things even harder.
The Intel adaptor no longer shows in my device manager, it's completely gone. However a "Network Controller" has showed up in Other Devices but I can't update it with the intel drivers or the internet as I don't have access to it on that machine.
Can anybody shed some light as to what I might have missed please?
Thank you,
Thomas

go to Device manager> network adapters, select your network adapter in use, click on the Power Management tab, clear the check box, Allow the computer to turn off the device to save energy. Click on the Advanced tab, disable any energy-saving options. If possible, keep the PC powered by the power source.

Sane issue here with my hp pavilion running on windows 10. The update really threw me off here. What external wifi adapter did you use?
- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorDid you contact and check with the HP support and try install their latest driver?
Make sure report this issue using the Feedback Hub app in Windows too.
- NotJoe370Copper ContributorIf you're having a really bad time, see if you can send it back to Windows 10, because you have a 10-day windows to send it back NotJoe370
- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorHow this problem get started?
Did you install any program or update your device?
In case you have access to another PC, try visit your device's manufacturer website and download the latest network driver and copy it to an external storage and move it to the affected PC and install it.- thomassutherlandCopper ContributorHi Reza,
Thanks for replying.
I started up my laptop, it disconnected from the internet, reconnected then disconnected permanently.
Unfortunately Medion son't supply drivers as they say on their website that Windows can detect all the drivers for all their products.
I did however download the Intel drivers for the adapter on another machine, put it on a usb and installed them but the adapter is still not showing in Device Manager.- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorYou may try to contact their support by email and ask them to send you a link or driver for the network card.
Try boot into Safe Mode with networking and see if it works?
