Windows 11 update - "Processor not supported" but is listed on the compatability list.
Hi there.
I have Windows 10 Pro 64 bit - version 22H2. When I checked today, all my Windows Updates are up-to-date. I've been running Windows 10, version 22H2 since 2022.
My desktop is i7-7700, 3.60GHz, 16GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (6 GB) graphics card; Storage 119 GB SSD INTEL SSDPEKKW128G7, 932 GB HDD WDC WD10EZEX-22MFCA0.
When I run PC Health Check it tells me I can't upgrade to Windows 11 because my processor is not supported. Yet when I look at the list of supported processors under Windows 10 22H2, the i7-7700 is listed.
Everything else in the PC Health check has green checkmarks beside every other item.
Does anyone have any additional ideas of why it says that my processor is not supported, even though it is listed as being compatible? I have 4 processor cores and 128gb system storage.
I'd appreciate any help/insight that I can get.
Jules

Some users report that the processor is included in the compatibility list for Windows 10 22H2, which suggests that Microsoft recognizes it as capable of running Windows 10 but not officially approved for Windows 11.
