Did you have any success resolving this issue?
I seem to be experiencing pretty similar issues myself, tried sooo many "fixes" that haven't worked, not even fresh install made any difference (as you found also)... everything was working fine last week, now laptop is practically useless...
very odd and EXTREMELY frustrating...
spending/wasting so much time trying to get it sorted!
Might just pour a cup of water over it...at least then i'll know what's wrong with it LOL
