Windows 11 UI Flashing

Hi,

Over the last few weeks I have been having an intermittent display bug that revolves around key elements of the UI flickering. I have recorded a https://youtu.be/craKUON6y_I showing this happening inside Task Manager, as that seems to be affected more than most programs.

I originally thought it was display driver related, but I have done a completely clean driver wipe and reinstall and it is still occurring. Even stranger still, as can be seen in the video, I lose all keyboard focus every time it happens. I have found that restarting explorer seems to somewhat remedy the issue, but it's made very hard with the keyboard being stolen from me every second!

I am at a bit of a loss as to what could be causing this. Does anyone here have any ideas/seen anything similar? Something that may help to nail it down - I get a spike in CPU usage whenever this happens. I was idle at around 5% usage before I started recording that linked video, and during the flashing, you can see the usage sitting around 20%.

I am using Win 11 21H2 build 22000.652 (though I have had this bug over multiple different builds so it's not a recent update).

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

glad to found this - i have the exact same problem on a Lenovo t15g gen2. But i have this not always.
It is really strange what UI Elements are flashing: Everything in Task Manager, All visible icons in sys tray (sometimes all, sometimes only those visible). Some few Elements in opened Outlook (this changes).
The flashing is not in synch. Taskmanager is flashing much more frequently.

My only solution is a restart. that seems to help until it happens next time.

Open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue.
Try performing a Clean Boot and see if the problem persists?
    Have a look at:

I cannot submit feedback via the Feedback Hub as I do not have Windows telemetry set to 'basic' and do not wish to do so due for privacy reasons. Is there another way to submit a bug more officially?

I would do a clean boot but the issue only happens intermittently every few days. Using it wouldn't be particularly useful in diagnosing this I don't think -- it doesn't appear to be caused by any startup programs.

Sending using the Feedback Hub is the only way, you don't need to change the telemetry setting and you may share feedback and report all log files and only attach relevant ones like the video you just share.
You could use your Clean Boot for few days and see if problem persist?
