It's understandable that many users and administrators value long-term, reliable systems that have been carefully maintained and serve their needs effectively. The shift to more restrictive hardware compatibility — focusing on 11th-gen Intel CPUs and newer — aims to enhance security and optimize performance, especially in the context of AI workloads and modern security architectures. However, this approach can inadvertently marginalize users with legacy hardware, who have invested time and resources into trusted systems.
