Windows 11 scrolling bug in Settings and Quick Settings volume slider
Hello,
I am experiencing a strange input/scrolling issue in Windows 11.
The problem affects the Windows Settings app and the Quick Settings panel (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sound).
When I move the mouse over the volume slider in Quick Settings, the volume slowly goes down to 0 even though I am not scrolling. It behaves as if Windows is constantly receiving a scroll-down input.
Scrolling in the Settings app is also inconsistent. When using the mouse wheel or dragging the scrollbar, the page sometimes moves only slightly and stops or jumps back upward.
Important details:
- The problem happens only in Windows interface components.
- Scrolling works normally in other programs such as Steam, Spotify, and File Explorer.
- Two different mice were tested (wired and wireless) and the same behavior occurs.
- Mouse drivers were reinstalled.
- System repair commands (SFC and DISM) were run and found no issues.
Because this only affects Windows UI elements, it appears to be related to how Windows 11 handles mouse input in the Settings/Quick Settings interface.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a fix?

The scrolling and input issues you're experiencing in Windows 11's Settings and Quick Settings panels are indeed unusual, especially since other applications scroll normally. Since you've already tested multiple mice, updated drivers, and run system repair tools, the problem likely stems from a Windows-specific glitch or configuration issue.

Thanks for your reply! Good news — the mouse is back to normal today, all by itself. It stopped on its own and came back on its own. I didn't do a thing!
