Windows 11 Printer Issue - DYMO LW450 DUO is not installing correctly/entirely
Same issue here with Win11 Enterprise 22H2
Is someone here who has a USB print server based on linux or a compatible router with print server funcionality? I cloud imagine that if you manually install both printer driver using a local port like \\printserver\prn1 while there is no driver installed on the print server (Windows Server doesn't work, already tested), it could work.
It looks like there is a problem using the same USB port for two different printer drivers in W11. Maybe a network port could be a workaround?
Michael1325 This does work, I have both parts of the printer working in Windows 11 by using a network USB print adapter. you just change the TCP port number on the IP Printer Port to 9002 to access the tape printer.

After following the PDF again (deleting drivers and deleting the registry keys)
I thought to myself, what if i export the registry keys when it is working in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers
then importing them on reboot hoping that it would work but it didn't.
Also tried to remove permissions on the registry keys so my system wouldn't modify them hoping this would work.. but again it didn't.
It works on my Windows 11 by following the PDF but having to do this everytime i log in is really something.
Might make a script in the future that automates it every time i log in.
Wish Microsoft would just fix it...- xander1138May 25, 2023Copper Contributor
Looks like Microsoft have finally released at fix with the latest 2023-05 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5026446), which includes the following Highlight:
This update addresses a multi-function label printer issue. It affects the installation of some of them.
Tested on my PC, and now both the label and tape printing both work with my Dymo LW 450 Duo (I use the older Dymo Label v8 software as I prefer it to the new Dymo Connect).
