Windows 11 Printer Issue - DYMO LW450 DUO is not installing correctly/entirely
GenieExh I agree. This has really put me off using the machine, I now tend to write labels by hand. The machine is gathering dust now.
Very very disappointing.

Same issue here with Win11 Enterprise 22H2
Is someone here who has a USB print server based on linux or a compatible router with print server funcionality? I cloud imagine that if you manually install both printer driver using a local port like \\printserver\prn1 while there is no driver installed on the print server (Windows Server doesn't work, already tested), it could work.
It looks like there is a problem using the same USB port for two different printer drivers in W11. Maybe a network port could be a workaround?

Michael1325 This does work, I have both parts of the printer working in Windows 11 by using a network USB print adapter. you just change the TCP port number on the IP Printer Port to 9002 to access the tape printer.

- JoeriSwMar 03, 2023Brass ContributorI tried something different today.
After following the PDF again (deleting drivers and deleting the registry keys)
I thought to myself, what if i export the registry keys when it is working in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers
then importing them on reboot hoping that it would work but it didn't.
Also tried to remove permissions on the registry keys so my system wouldn't modify them hoping this would work.. but again it didn't.
It works on my Windows 11 by following the PDF but having to do this everytime i log in is really something.
Might make a script in the future that automates it every time i log in.
Wish Microsoft would just fix it...

Use an old Pogoplug with Debian based Linux, installed CUPS drivers for tape and label, shared via SAMBA, works.
I used the Pogoplug in the past for cloud storage, they sold for less than 10€ after service has stopped, also other Plug-Computers wold do the job. Here's the forum where alternate OS can be downloaded: https://forum.doozan.com/index.php
But any other box that runs Linux would do the job. Currently I would recommend a cheap Android TV-Box with Allwinner H6, Amlogic S905X, S905X2, S905X3 S905W or S905L (mind the suffix!) or Rockchip RK3318, RK3366, RK3288 CPU. They sell from 20€! You just need to put the correct image on a micro SD-Card and boot the box from it. If satisfied, overwrite original Android OS to boot Linux from eMMC.
Of course you can also buy a Raspberry Pi or similar DIY board + case + SD-Card + Power-Supply for more than 100€ together if you want to exactly follow community tutorials.
