Windows 11 Printer Issue - DYMO LW450 DUO is not installing correctly/entirely

My point was they also keep telling us to contact Windows.
This is so bad that Dymo contacting Windows seems futile. Windows cares little for its own users; much less Dymo's. Maybe Dymo should look at what they are sending Windows and correct/change that to finally give "their" users descent software. Not saying it is… but this could be a case of garbage IN, garbage OUT.
My other brand labeler is working fine. I guess they play better technically with Windows than Dymo.
- Horrgakx1235Jul 21, 2022Copper ContributorI tried a Dymo Software re-installation today using the latest version from their website "DYMO Connect for Desktop Windows v1.4.3" [which is awful and not user-friendly by the way] and although the tape part gets picked up there is a "Virtual" device which can't be connected to.
This is ridiculous now.- MichekCJul 21, 2022Copper Contributor
Yes, you can solve it by uninstalling the last windows update KB5015807. This patch broken the virtual port used for this model. Horrgakx1235
- KevinWJul 19, 2022Brass ContributorWhat is really frustrating is that MS made some changes a couple of weeks ago which 'fixed' the bug - and then promptly broke it again with the next Beta release...... And perhaps most of all that it's impossible to get any meaningful information out of either MS or Dymo.

it also slows down the computer to the level of irritation when you keep the Dymo Connect software installed.
The WMI servive has higher CPU usage and sometimes when trying to install another software it says thats already installing something.
It looks like the Dymo is constantly trying to install or configure something.
I don't find any trace of that in the event viewer, just experience a slower computer and higher constant CPU usage.
Since 3 weeks I have a brand new Surface Studio Laptop and experience exactly the same thing as on my Elitebook 850 G5.
I try it from time to time but uninstall it after trying.
And as mentioned before, this already started on Windows 10 for me and continued on Win11.
Having both Brother and HP printers on the same computer.
