Windows 11 Pin & Password Issues

Out of the blue my computer is not accepting my PIN in fact the option doesn’t even come up “something happened and your pin isnt available click to.setup.your pin again”. The password that I know is correct doesn’t work either.  The rest pin and password doesn’t work. Please note this pc is setup as a “local” account and not Microsoft. The startup repair doesn’t work. I am desperate and running out of ideas. Is there a CMD sequence that can fix this.

I also want to get my files before I decide to remove this HP all in one from my life.

If you regain access but face issues, a repair install (in-place upgrade) can fix system files.

If all else fails, backup your data first, then consider Reset this PC (keep files or remove everything).

If you’re not comfortable with these steps, or if they don’t work, I’d recommend creating a bootable Linux live USB (like Ubuntu). Boot into Linux, then access your Windows drive to copy all your important files.

Reset your account password by using the Forgot Password feature first, or you can use the Windows Recovery option to repair your account settings.
