Windows 11 performs worse than older Windows versions in nearly every benchmark

I have recently upgraded to Windows 11, but I have noticed that its performance is significantly worse than older Windows versions in nearly every benchmark test. Despite meeting the system requirements and having updated drivers, the operating system seems sluggish, with slower boot times, reduced responsiveness, and lower scores in CPU, GPU, and disk performance tests compared to Windows 10 and earlier versions. This decline in performance is frustrating, especially since I expected Windows 11 to offer improvements and newer features, but instead, it appears to be less efficient overall. I am seeking advice on possible reasons for this issue and suggestions on how to optimize Windows 11 to match or surpass the performance levels of previous Windows releases. Any guidance on troubleshooting, settings adjustments, or known issues affecting performance would be greatly appreciated.

Use Task Manager or Resource Monitor to see if specific hardware components are bottlenecked or underperforming.

New OS versions often run more background services or pre-installed apps that can impact performance.
