Windows 11 on a 16GB Chromebook – and it works

Got Windows 11 running on a 16GB Dell Chromebook 11 3120 (“Candy”) with full audio and trackpad support.

Official docs said it's not supported on Bay Trail and to stick with Windows 10. Turns out CoolStar's Win10 drivers work perfectly on Win11.

How:

Pulled the write-protect screw, flashed MrChromebox UEFI firmware. Used a stripped Tiny11 build with CompactOS to shrink it under 10GB, and a bootable USB with the bypass option enabled to skip CPU, TPM, and storage checks. Disabled driver signature verification, installed Visual C++ runtimes, then ran CoolStar's driver packages. Everything worked.

Docs said no. Space said no. Drivers said no. But it runs fine.

Sometimes you just gotta ignore the official sheets.

Using a stripped Tiny11 build combined with CompactOS was a brilliant way to fit the OS onto limited storage.
