Windows 11 File Explorer tabs still slow, any fixes?
Has Microsoft improved File Explorer tab performance in Windows 11? Mine still feels slow when opening multiple tabs. Any solutions?

You are asking whether File Explorer tab performance has improved, but opening several tabs is still slow. Responsiveness also depends on shell extensions, Quick access locations, storage latency, and system components. Install current Windows updates and restart Explorer from Task Manager. Test tabs using local folders rather than network, OneDrive, or unavailable Quick access locations; remove stale pinned entries if only those paths lag. Next clear File Explorer history and test a clean boot. If performance improves, re-enable non-Microsoft services and startup items in groups to identify the conflicting utility or shell extension. If all folders remain slow, open an elevated terminal, run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, then sfc /scannow and restart. Check free disk space and storage health. If the delay remains reproducible on a fully updated clean boot, record the exact Windows build and submit a Feedback Hub trace for investigation.
