Windows 11 does not natively support creating shortcuts

I don't understand why you have to use the Registry Editor or import a .reg file to modify the items in the “New” menu. I hope Microsoft will provide a native settings interface to manage these shortcuts directly, without having to rely on the Registry Editor or third-party software.

The "New" menu's functionality is tied directly to the Windows Registry, a massive, hierarchical database that has been the central configuration hub for the operating system since the early 1990s. Every file type (like .docx or .txt) has an entry in the Registry that dictates its behavior, including whether it should appear in the "New" menu. Modifying the menu, therefore, means modifying these core system settings.
