Windows 11 can't manage multiple languages
Just installed updated my Windows 10 to Windows 11 22H2. My system is installed in English, regional format English(Switzerland) cause that's how I want my system to work. But apparently Windows...

I've had the same issue, and I think I've finally resolved it: Windows allows you to add as many keyboards as you like, but insists on installing a keyboard to match your region settings and another to match your default language preferences. If your region doesn't precisely match your default language, you end up with two separate keyboards. And Microsoft decides those, so while I was fortunate to have picked a region (South Africa, because that's where I was when I installed Windows) with a default English keyboard, it looks like in the case described the default language was Swiss German.
Well done, Microsoft.
My second-language keyboard is Hebrew, so what appears to have resolved the issue for me is setting my region to Israel, which matches the Hebrew keyboard. Any other option besides English US results in multiple English keyboards, which is just silly.
What bums me out is that there's no control over the regional formatting, so I either have to suffer multiple English keyboard layouts, or have a short date formatted in the ridiculous American MM/DD/YYYY. I don't know which of these problems I find more offensive, but for now at least I can switch languages without feeling like I'm rolling the dice.

I've found the solution to the regional formatting, so my previous recommendation to match region to keyboard is good: Open the Control Panel (the legacy one), then select Click on Change date, time, or number formats -> Additional settings⦠-> Date.
