Windows 11 automatically creates duplicate Program folders on the C drive.

In addition to the standard Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders, multiple extra “Program” folders have automatically appeared in the root directory of the C drive (e.g., the system prompts to rename the newly created one to Program1, then another appears and requires renaming to Program2). A warning states that failure to rename them will cause certain programs to malfunction. This is suspected to be caused by system path or registry corruption. Seeking a repair solution.
