Windows 11 24H2 update KB5040435 will not install
I received KB5040435 which is a cumulative update. Goes all the way through and then says something is wrong and uninstalls. Error code is 0x8000f0922 Tried multiple times. Tried the update troubleshooter, DISM and SFC. I did a restore point of a month ago. 24H2 26100.1080 now.
The process takes a long time to uninstall and go back. Since the Updates are totally automatic, the process will repeat every time there is a new update unless I select the delay option. I have tried to install the out of date hide show utility, but I cannot get it installed.
Am I domed to live with this forever?
- Wait for the next update and check if your device meets the minimum system requirements.
- i have been having the same issues. i have tried everything. i have 3 other PC that are all on win11 and all to the update fine
