Windows 11 24H2 Start Menu and Taskbar Pinning Feature Malfunction
After upgrading the system to Windows 11 version 26100.4061 (24H2), the “Pin to Start” option has disappeared from the right-click menus of applications (including both built-in system apps and third-party software). Additionally, the “Pin to Taskbar” functionality is no longer working. Attempts to manually create shortcuts or move items to the “Start Menu” folder have proven ineffective. Seeking a solution to restore this functionality or a fix for this issue.

Sometimes, Microsoft releases cumulative updates or patches that fix known issues in newer builds.

Run the System File Checker command sfc /scannow and restart the computer to repair the pinning functionality of the Start Menu and Taskbar.
