Win11 will not retain set Sharing settings
I have been trying to get my desktop to share specific folders, and it has worked before with Windows 10, but not so far with Windows 11 unfortunately. I have my network set to Private, and in Advanced Sharing settings I have both network discovery and File and Printer sharing set to On. But when I exit out of Settings and go back in to verify those toggles are still active, they both show as Off. So it seems like Windows 11 is not retaining the file sharing settings for some reason. It behaves the same way under the Public networks drop down as well. The only toggles that stay are under all Networks, but that does help me much. I have my specific folders are ready to be shared, but my other computers cannot see this one on the network at all. I know they work because I have other machines that share without a problem, but none of them are Win11, all are either Win10 or Windows Server. What can I do to get this working?

Yea I did use the command line to set them but it keeps getting blocked. One thing i did try was to turn off Windows Firewall completely as a test, then found that the settings would stay toggled on with the firewall off. So it looks like the default firewall settings block file sharing now, where would be the best place to fix that within the firewall?

Verify and set network discovery and file sharing via PowerShell or command line if UI toggles revert.
Ensure necessary services are running.
Reset network settings if needed.
Use net share commands to manually set shares.
