Win11 Right-click context menu on the taskbar does not display Task Manager unless Shift is held

By default, right-clicking an empty area on the taskbar opens the taskbar settings menu instead of the classic context menu that includes the Task Manager and Show Desktop options.

The classic menu appears only when you right-click while holding down the Shift key. This change adds an extra step required to quickly access the Task Manager from the taskbar.

  • In the Taskbar settings, simply enable the Show Task Manager when right-clicking the taskbar option.

Hey, which version of Windows 11 are you running? In early versions they removed the Task Manager option when right clicking the taskbar, but re-added it in later versions.
