Win11 Insert key does not toggle overwrite mode in Notepad
Pressing the Insert key in Notepad does not toggle between Insert and Overwrite modes. The Insert key works normally in other text editors.Furthermore, there is no option to enable Overwrite mode in the Edit menu. Restarting Notepad or the system does not restore the Insert key's functionality.

This is a common misconception. The Insert key is supposed to toggle between Insert and Overwrite modes, but that feature needs to be built into the specific app by its developer.
