Win 11 Snipping tool issues
This might be a duplicate:
Problems with the new snipping tool app.
When I summon the snipping tool using the shortcut win+shift+S - the app's icon briefly appears in the taskbar, then it faults, and errors are written to the Event Log; the mini menu never appears at the top of the screen. Please see details in the attachment.
If I invoke the snipping tool from the Start button or the Run box the full app appears. I can Open a screenshot. All the new features work: click to Do, squaring up a hand drawn box or circle, etc. But if I click on the NEW button the app faults. I can invoke the app with Explorer by selecting a file and using Open With.
When I change MS-SCREENCLIP to Screen Snipping and use the shortcut key the old mini menu appears. I can take a snip. A toast notification pops-up. If I click it the new snipping tool app is invoked and functional with the exception of the NEW button which if selected causes a fault.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled via the Store, via PWSH. Check all the components using sfc /scannow.
Wondering if anybody else encountered this problem.
I have reported the problem with the Feedback Hub app https://aka.ms/AAwaket
Thank you.
