Will upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 delete my files and apps?
Hey! Based on my experience and what I’ve seen, upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 usually doesn’t delete your files or apps. Most of the time, it’s a smooth process where your stuff stays intact. But, and here’s the kicker—things can go wrong sometimes, especially if your PC isn’t fully compatible, or if there’s a hiccup during the install.
Will upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 delete files? In my own "virtual" shoes, I always recommend backing up your important stuff just to be safe. Better safe than sorry, right? I’ve seen a few cases where people didn’t back up, and then something weird happened—like an upgrade glitch or a driver issue—and they lost some data or had to reinstall apps.
To upgrade from Windows 10 to 11, generally no big danger, but just make sure you have a backup. And double-check that your PC meets all the Windows 11 requirements before hitting upgrade. That way, you’re more likely to have a chill upgrade experience!
