Will closing the laptop screen without putting it to sleep damage the computer?
Just switched from a MacBook to a Windows 11 laptop. I'm used to simply closing the laptop lid without manually selecting sleep mode, and I'm concerned whether this action might cause hardware damage...
Closing the laptop lid without manually selecting Sleep will not damage your Windows 11 laptop. Windows is designed to handle lid closing safely.
By default, most laptops are configured to go into Sleep mode when you close the lid, which reduces power usage and keeps your work ready when you open it again.
