This is normal and not a hardware problem.
Windows feature updates (24H2 / 25H2) are rolled out in waves, not pushed to every PC at the same time. Even two similar machines can get the update weeks or months apart.
Here are the most common reasons and what you can do:
Why your PC hasn’t received it yet
- Phased rollout: Microsoft releases feature updates gradually.
- Compatibility hold: A driver, BIOS version, or software on your PC may have a temporary block.
- Update settings: If “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” is off, you’ll get it later.
- 23H2 → newer versions are often delayed more than expected.
Things you can try
Turn on early updates
- Settings → Windows Update
- Enable “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available”
Check optional updates
- Install all driver and optional updates first.
Update BIOS and drivers
- Especially GPU, chipset, and storage drivers.
Use the official Installation Assistant
- This bypasses rollout delays if your PC is compatible.
Your PC is likely just waiting its turn or under a temporary compatibility hold. If you don’t want to wait, the official Installation Assistant is the safest way to upgrade manually.
