Why do icons rearrange themselves after a reboot?
Every time I restart my Windows PC, all my carefully arranged desktop icons get scattered and rearranged into a different order. No matter how many times I organize them, the layout resets to some random configuration after every reboot, and I cannot figure out what is causing this frustrating behavior.

Easy fix! I used to get annoyed like this until I discovered a program called Fences (current version 6) from Stardock! You create a and name a lockable Fence around whatever icons you want grouped together then put the Fence wherever you want on the Desktop. Lock the Fence so it cannot be moved. Voila! Makes this issue disappear and makes finding apps easier! I have several Fences on my Desktop (Internet which contains all my browsers; Browser Security that has all my VPNs; Personal that has all the shortcuts to Office folders like Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos, Downloads; Streaming that has the shortcuts to Spotiofy, Audible, Music, YouTube; Finance and Tax that folders containing my banking and tax apps) etc.!
Give it a go
