Why am I still on 24H2?
My Windows 11 machine is still on 24H2, every time I ask it to check for updates, it says there's no updates. 25H2 released in September, yet it hasn't rolled out to update to me yet? Why?

This is normal Windows updates like 24H2 roll out gradually. If you’re not seeing it, it’s likely due to a compatibility hold or your device not being marked ready yet . You can try enabing “Get latest updates” or use the Installation Assistant, but if it’s blocked, it’s usually safer to wait
Hello,
If you like, you can try manual upgrade using Windows 11 25H2 ISO file.
Follow these steps:
Download Windows 11 25H2 ISO from the official Microsoft website.
Double click on it to mount it to a DVD drive.
Then go to DVD drive, double click on setup.exe to proceed.
Follow on-screen instructions to complete upgrade.

I just ended up manually installing 25H2 via https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11?msockid=2d5aa6b0f81860493a59b1faf9bf61f3

You may want to go to Windows Update > Update history and check out for any failed installation. Also, go to Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates and see if there is any pending update.
I do remember I had to install 24H2 repair version last August before 25H2 got installed in mid October.

The only optional update is 2026-04 preview for KB5083631 which is 26100.8328 (a preview for 24H2).

Give it a try and see if updates start rolling again.
Alternatively, you can https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=108398 and go from there.
