Which WiFi card to get for Windows 11?

Hey, really basic question. I recently bought a Dell Precision 3460 i5-12500 and need to get a wifi card. Which one do I get? Are the ax210 and ax211 interchangeable on this model, or is there a better one than these I could get?

I haven’t had much experience with anything other than Macs hence why I’m unsure. The computer hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t look at the slot either.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hi, the AX210 is the safer general-purpose choice because it uses standard PCIe/USB interfaces, while the AX211 depends on Intel CNVio2 support from the motherboard. They are not automatically interchangeable even though both use an M.2 Key E-style form factor. Check the Dell Precision 3460 service manual and the original configuration using the service tag before ordering. Also verify that the desktop has the antenna leads and rear antenna hardware; a bare card without antennas will perform poorly. A Dell-supported Wi-Fi kit is the least troublesome route for drivers, brackets, and antennas.
