When I press Win + G to open the Xbox Game Bar in Windows 11, the screen is blank

When I press the Win + G shortcut to open the Xbox Game Bar, the interface appears blank, and controls for features such as performance monitoring and screenshot/recording do not display properly. I have updated the Xbox Game Bar app through the Microsoft Store and tried resetting the app data, but the issue remains unresolved.

  • Win+G launches Game Bar, but its widgets and capture/performance controls remain blank after a Store update and app reset. The shortcut is working; the remaining possibilities are component damage or interference from another overlay. Restart Windows, install Windows updates, then open Microsoft Store > Library and apply available updates. In Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Game Bar > Advanced options, select Repair; if Repair is unavailable or fails, Reset again after those updates. Temporarily disable other overlays and recorders, then test Game Bar in a clean boot. If it works there, re-enable services and startup items in groups to isolate the conflict. If it remains blank, use Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problems using Windows Update > Reinstall now; Microsoft says this repairs Windows components while preserving apps, files, and settings. Report a blank interface through Feedback Hub with your Windows build and Game Bar version.
