USB key and Navigation Pane

Hello

With Windows 11 24h2 and each time a USB key (or external disk) is inserted, the tree in the navigation pane is expanded

Possible to correct this "problem" and with as it was before (as with the 23h2 for example)

Thanks

If you’re comfortable using third-party tools, you can try utilities like Winaaro Tweeaker or Ultimate Windows Tweeaker. These tools often include options to customize File Explorer behavior, including the Navigation Pane.

I already looked but I never found a tweak for this
      Thanks for your help

When a new USB drive is added, Windows tends to expand the navigation pane to show the contents of the drive. While this can be helpful if you're looking for something specific on the newly connected drive, it can be disruptive if you’re trying to work with other folders or files.

Indeed, the behavior of before (nothing is expanded) especially since there is an option for that and it would be good if when inserting a USB key, nothing is expanded unless the option to display folders is enabled

Hoping that MS fixes this "problem"

The folders are displayed automatically when the USB is connected? I don't see this issue on my laptop.

This is the issue with 24H2. You need to wait for new update to get it fixed.
