Upgrade win 10 pro to win 11 pro workstation

I am editing the content of this message as there have been a number of views with no comments.

 

Am I required to go through a MS business partner to purchase an 11 pro workstation license or is it possible to obtain the license by downloading from MS (at no cost or otherwise)?  I am assuming that I will be required to pay for the upgrade.

    In case you are using Windows 10 Pro and your system is eligible for upgrade (meet system requirements), you may upgrade to the Windows 11 for free and there is no need to purchase a license.
    However, in case you want to purchase a new device, you have to verify Windows 11 have been installed. You may purchase the Windows 11 from the authorized stores.
