Upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11

I'm considering upgrading my system from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and I'm unsure about the safety of this transition.

Backup the data to cloud drive or external drive. After that, it is safe to go upgrading!

Some applications may not work correctly on Windows 11. Make sure to check for compatibility with critical software you rely on for your work or personal use.

    • Visit the software vendor’s website for any updates or support for Windows 11.
    • If you primarily use certain applications, ensure they are compatible before upgrading.

If your device is not essential for daily use or critical tasks, you may want to wait a few months after the initial release to allow for potential bug fixes and feedback from other users. This will minimize the risk of encountering issues that others may face during the initial rollout phase.

Windows 11 is relatively new, which means it might have some bugs and quirks. Early adopters sometimes run into compatibility issues with software or hardware. It's not majorly risky, but be prepared for potential hiccups. Reading up on user experiences can help you gauge if you want to jump in now or wait for a few more updates.

  • You're concerned about safety of 'data' during this upgrade? Well, it is preserved, if it is shown to keep during upgrade window.
