Unable to 'upgrade' to 11 - what happens with end of support?
My older AMD Motherboard and CPU apparently does not support Win 11.
What happens with end of support for Win 10 in October?
Will it be safe or practical to still run Win 10, or will I be forced to invest in essentailly a brand new PC?
I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat.

Windows 11 has strict hardware requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, specific CPU models, etc.), and many older AMD CPUs and motherboards are not supported.

As Windows 10 reaches its end of support in October 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for the OS, which could pose security risks if vulnerabilities are discovered afterward. However, it will still be technically usable, and many users will continue running it, but with increasing security risks and potential compatibility issues over time.

Many older components (especially CPUs, motherboards, RAM, TPM modules) may not support Windows 11, which has strict hardware requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, etc.). If your hardware doesn't meet Windows 11 specs, you'll likely need to upgrade your PC or continue on Windows 10.
