Unable to Print

I have a new Windows Surface 7 Intel Core Ultra 236V on version 24H2, and I am unable to print from this device. We use a print server and connect the printer to the computer via network. I am unable to print to the connected network printer. I even tried printing a document to PDF and this also did not work. Other computers are able to print to this network printer without issue. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer on the server, updating the printer driver, stopped and restarted the print spooler service, and nothing seems to work. The issue seems to be with the new device.

  • We tried everything to fix the printer issue. The only thing that worked was to reset the computer and reinstall Windows.

Run the printer troubleshooter and make sure that the print service is running.

I tried to run the printer troubleshooter and it redirected me to the Get Help app. I also tried System File Checker, DISM, and rebooted the printer by unplugging it. We are to the point where we might try reinstalling Windows.

Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners and ensure the correct printer is set as default.

  • Run the printer troubleshooter and make sure that the print service is running.
