Unable to install 25H2 update using multiple methods
I have been trying to update my secondary laptop to 25H2 for several days unsuccessfully. When I try to update with normal Windows updates, it gives me this error message: 0x800f0991. I also attempted to reinstall Windows using the built-in tool and selected the option to keep my files, but still doesn't work. Tried clearing update cache, still doesn't work.
Then I tried to do an in-place upgrade, but that failed with this error message: 0x8007042B - 0x2000D The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation.
It is currently running build 26100.7309.
Can anyone help me, please?

And....what if there are no external devices connected?
Disconnect any external devices connected to the system while upgrading.
No external devices are connected.
Try upgrading via Windows 11 Installation Assistant:
